    Who we are

    BiomolBiomed Viewpoints (blog.biomolbiomed.com) is the blog of the journal Biomolecules and Biomedicine, published by the Association of Basic Medical Sciences of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Asocijacija bazičnih medicinskih znanosti), Marcela Šnajdera 6, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Association is the data controller for this website. Contact: office@abmsciences.org.

    What we collect and why

    • Server and hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical data about each request (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
    • Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the blog is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Data is pseudonymised and IP addresses are truncated. No analytics cookie is set before you accept. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
    • Newsletter. If you subscribe, your name and e-mail address are stored by Brevo, the service we use to send our newsletter. Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent.
    • Contact. If you write to us by e-mail, we keep the correspondence as long as needed to answer you.

    Cookies

    Essential settings (for example your cookie choice) are stored locally in your browser; your cookie choice is kept for 12 months. Analytics cookies from Google Analytics are set only after you accept them and expire after at most 2 years. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser.

    Who receives your data

    Our hosting provider, Google (analytics, only with consent), Brevo (newsletter) and Supabase (the database that delivers the blog's articles). Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data.

    How long we keep data

    Server logs: up to 30 days. Analytics data: 14 months. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. E-mail correspondence: up to 2 years.

    Your rights

    You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights write to office@abmsciences.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina or your local supervisory authority.

    Changes

    We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
